The Farm is a Community Benefit Society and it has two types of membership, one for the term of their investment i.e. long-term, the other a renewable annual membership.
Investor Members
These are our members who have invested in the Farm when we have a Community Share Offer open. So far we have had two share offers and have around 460 members who have invested £170,000 in the Farm. For our investors their membership is lifelong, unless they choose in the future to withdraw their investment. Founder members, that is those that invested in our very first offer, were also given a one year annual membership which expires at the end of March 2012. After that time, to continue to receive a discount on their boxes, those investors will need to take out annual membership and all investors from September 2011 will need need to become annual members if they want to take advantage of the discount.
Annual Members
Annual membership can be taken out by anyone. This costs just £30 a year (£15 unwaged).
