Apple trees planted

What a great day on Saturday – ‎100 apple trees planted on by 25 fabulous volunteers in the beautiful sunshine. Varieties are Ellison’s Orange, Katy, Adam’s Pearmain and Ashmead’s Kernel. Hope to have a video on website sometime this week too. A big thank you to everyone who helped.

Photo shows the group with Andy, our grower, holding out Ethical Business award too!!

Volunteer from Germany

We are lucky enough to have Inga Moorkamp from Dortmund in Germany working with us as volunteer for the next four weeks.

Inga is an editor at a German television station and is studying to become a teacher of English and German. As part of the course Inga has to spend some time abroad and found out about the Farm after reading an article about it on Jamie Oliver’s website.

Over 100 fruit trees delivered today!

On Saturday we’re planting over 100 fruit trees at the Farm following a generous donation from a couple of our investors, Anne and Mike Dixon.

We’re very excited about this and the fencing is almost in place (needed to protect the trees from deer). The trees were all delivered this morning and have come from Walcot Organic Nursery.
