About Us

Every Little Helps

  • Nature-friendly farming
  • Ethical trading
  • Healthy food
  • Local first
  • Community hearted

Summer is a difficult time at The Farm. Despite the abundance of British produce, with school holidays our customer numbers drop significantly, making the tricky job of keeping a small-scale food operation and community programme running, even more challenging.

This summer, we’re calling on all of our customers to help.

If you are going on holiday, please consider donating the value of your usual veg box. There are easy instructions on how to do this on the Holidays page of your account.

When you do have an order, please consider adding a few extra items. If all of our customers also got their milk, butter, eggs or dairy-free equivalents from us, it would make a huge difference to what we are able to achieve with the land and in our community. Not only that but these products are usually a similar price from us than from the organic supermarket equivalents and by buying from us they’ll be delivered right to your door.

As someone, somewhere once said - every little helps!

Why you should be buying some of these every day products from us...

Milk - £2.90

Our milk is from one local, Somerset herd  so you know exactly where it comes from. With minimal food miles and bottles dropped conveniently at your front door, its just like the good old days. Not only that but the milk is unhomogenised which means it tastes thick, creamy and delicious too.

Eggs - £2.69

Our eggs are from a farm that truly cares for the land and their chickens. They don’t just rear chickens intensively, the chickens form part of a wider ecosystem. The chickens follow cows around their fields, eating the insects which are attracted by the cows. In turn, the chicken manure is then used to fertilise crops, too. The farm also grows wildflowers which not only produce nutritious bird seed for the chickens, but are also great for wildlife.

Oat Milk - £3.46

Filtered water, organic oats, organic sunflower oil and a pinch of Cornish salt, gently heated to 63.5 degrees. Our oat milk is made from ingredients you’d find in your kitchen. A lot of commercial oat milks are ultra-processed, adding ingredients and blasting them at 130 degrees, removing much of the nutrition in order to extend the shelf life. Plus you can return the glass bottles to us and they will be cleaned and re-used, minimising waste.

Extra Veg - Carrots £3.09)

A kg of our carrots give £1.55 back to the farmer, not 14p like the supermarkets (that’s less than 0.5% profit!). Supermarkets use items like carrots as a ‘loss leader’ - buying and selling them as cheap as possible. This forces farmers to maximise production at the expense of taking care of the land and the wildlife that lives on it - replacing wild habitats with rows of crops, spraying harmful chemicals and growing on an enormous scale that cannot live alongside real care and attention. We want the farms we work with to plant wildflowers in their field margins, grow organically, and encourage diverse wildlife onto their land.
