The Community Farm recently invited people to invest in the project through a community share offer. Just over £125,000 has been invested and we have 400 founder members. Our upper target was £170,000 but with the amount raised we can go ahead, we'll just have to put some of the more ambitious plans on hold until we can raise the funds to do them!
We're now in the process of organising the transfer of the box scheme and wholesale business to the farm. This involves a lot of work including staff transfers so will occupy us for most of the next month or two. We anticipate being able to complete this by the beginning of April 2011. There will be events and volunteering opportunities throughout the year and more details will be available soon.
