A family-friendly day bursting with wildlife!
Come and celebrate The Community Farm's wildlife with a fantastic day of exploration and learning. Featuring a few special guests and a whole host of activities, you’ll be treated to wildlife discovery walks, nature connection, pond dipping, discovery trails, insect-themed crafting and lots more!
The roundhouse cafe will also be open, selling local ciders, our own organic apple juice , hot drinks and seasonal sustenance based around fresh produce from our very own fields, so make sure you come hungry!
What's on
Chris Sperring MBE will be opening your senses to the many sights, sounds, tracks and trials the natural world has to offer as he guides you on our wildlife walks. Chris is a professional naturalist and wildlife guide, and a fountain of nature knowledge!
We're so excited to be joined by ecologists Charlie and Rachel from A Patch Wilder, who will captivate you with their incredible knowledge of all things wild, specialising in reptiles and bats, you're sure to come away with even more enthusiasm and some excellent facts to impress friends and family!
The Somerset Badger Group are going to be chatting to us so come ready with any questions you'd like to ask about these gorgeous creatures!
Make gorgeous insects to take home with you, under the guidance of wonderful clay artist Helen Hooper, who is also a volunteer here at The Farm.
Our very own Jason Leck, course leader of Wild Steps, our therapeutic wildlife conversation course, will be offering some simple nourishing nature connection activities that will leave you refreshed with a deeper connection to the world around you.
*Please note that this is an outdoor event so if the weather is not on our side, and we have to cancel, you will of course receive a full refund (we will notify you of this 2 days before the event date).
