The Community Farm is a not-for-profit social enterprise based in the Chew Valley just outside Bristol and Bath. We are a nature-friendly farm, founded in 2011 as a Community Benefit Society and are owned and governed by our shareholder members.
Working with a network of organic producers and local farmers who share our ethics, we supply fresh, local and organic food via a box delivery service to hundreds of households throughout Bristol, Bath, The Chew Valley, Frome and Weston-Super-Mare.
Any surplus that we make is reinvested into our own Community programmes and used to fund volunteering sessions, wellbeing courses and events at The Farm; as well as helping us manage the land in a way that’s beneficial for all life.
We welcome everyone in our Community to nourish their body and mind by spending time on our shared land. Whether you’re interested in learning, therapy or play, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved for individuals and for groups.
We are always looking for funding to keep our community programme running. If you would like to support us, please donate here.
Our growing operation is based in Chew Magna, overlooking the beautiful Chew Valley Lake. We currently farm on 8.3 acres with the whole site extending to 15 acres. We are happy to be farming on Grade 1 agricultural land, which means we have a fantastic sandy loam soil that allows us to grow a huge variety of crops.
