Vegetable of the month: sprouted beans

Our sprouted mixed beans are all grown in the UK. They're healthy, versatile, colourful - each with it's own unique flavour.>

Fresh greens all year around

As we ease into the hungry gap, fewer fresh greens will be available from local farmers. Our sprouted beans are grown locally year-round, they’re not limited by the seasons. This means we can provide fresh, nutritious, and delicious sprouts from January right through to December.

They’re alive!

A sprout is produced when a seed starts growing into a vegetable. Because they’re still alive when you eat them, they’re a concentrated source of living enzymes. Their high enzyme content makes them easier to digest than the seed or bean that they sprouted from. They’re also a great source of protein and vitamin C.

A sprout for every occasion

Sprouted beans come in lots of tastes and textures. Some are spicy like radish and onion sprouts. Others, like mung beans, are hardy and popular in Asian dishes. And then there are the more delicate verities, better suited for sandwiches or salads, such as alfalfa sprouts. They make a wonderful addition to winter salads.
