Co-Managing Director, Tom, shares his reflections on The Farm's Crowdfunder campaign.
Our Crowdfunder wrapped up earlier this week with an incredible £65,000 raised from over 500 amazing supporters! This is a fantastic achievement, far beyond what we dared to hope for. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated, shared, and championed our campaign. You’ve made a real difference.
The Community Farm began as a volunteer-led initiative and has flourished over the years thanks to the generosity of thousands of local people who’ve given their time, money, and expertise. We see that generosity every single week through our fantastic volunteers, loyal customers and friends of the farm; but to experience support on this scale is nothing short of phenomenal. For 15 years, we’ve worked hard to provide the best possible service and experience for you, our community, and your response shows just how much that effort matters. We are deeply grateful.
This funding gives us a vital boost to our cashflow, but the reality is that uncertainty around future funding for our community engagement programme remains. That’s why, behind the scenes, we’re reviewing operations, exploring new projects, and seeking fresh opportunities to ensure we can keep delivering fantastic impact for the next 15 years and beyond.
But first, there’s the small matter of Christmas orders and charity hampers to deliver!
