This scenic foraging walk will guide you through all the fundamentals of foraging and help you discover the abundance of fresh greens, edible flowers, herbs and fungi available through the seasons.
Leah will show you how to safely and sustainably identify and gather wild food, whilst sampling some delights along the way. You'll be given hints and tips on how to use the ingredients we find, as well as learning some fascinating folklore about them.
This walk will help you to connect to the environment around you and empower you to go on and learn more. It will be an exploration of the senses as we discover natures abundance.
Summer Solstice Forage & Make - Fermented wild teas and herbal infusions
Join Leah on the longest day of the year to soak up the Summer sun and explore the beautiful range of edible and medicinal wildflowers, foliage and fruits that the Summer has to offer. There are so many wonderful wild foods to be sampled at this time of the year.
You’ll be guided through the identification process, learn about the practical uses of everything we find, before sustainably harvesting your own ingredients to take back to the yurt and craft your own wild teas and herbal infusions. This will include an old traditional method for making a fermented tea which is packed with health benefits, giving you hands-on experience to help you get to grips with using wild ingredients in your everyday life.
